    Hello all,

Here's a question for you. Many unstrung new racquets for sale list the weight before string. I would like to know, on average, how much the string weight affects the racquet head weight, and thus, performance?

I'm not sure if this has been addressed. I've seen lots of threads talking about string tensions as opposed to the string weight itself. I apologize if this has been previously discussed.

I think I have seen some websites saying it's about 4-7 grams but I don't remember what websites said that......

In fact, I think 4-6 grams sounds pretty reasonable.:)
(since there are normally from 0.66 to 0.75 thickness strings)

    Agree.

My personal assumption is also 4-6 gram.

i can only guess the thinner string is lighter than the thicker one and maybe more aerodynamic???
