i think this MAS pair is just wasting their time competing in international tournament. should let younger pair to get more exposure.

It's actually pretty normal, so it can't be bad luck all the time.

    MS R16
    Alamsyah Yunus
[4] vs Iskandar Zulkarnain Zainuddin - Alam to face Sony in the QF.

Sony Dwi Kuncoro [5] vs Ashton Chen Yong Zhao [16]

Loh Wei Sheng vs Dionysius Hayom Rumbaka [2] - Hayom to progress.

    WS R16
    Aprilia Yuswandari
[8] vs Hera Desi - INA will have at least 1 WS player in the QF. April has a slight edge.

Maria Febe Kusumastuti [6] vs Kaori Imabeppu - I don't think Febe or the rest could beat their opponents.

Rawinda Prajongjai vs Bellaetrix Manuputty [7]

Adrianti Firdasari vs Sapsiree Taerattanachai [4]

    Salakjit Ponsana vs Lindaweni Fanetri

    MD R16
    Kim Ki Jung/Kim Sa Rang
[1] vs Hafiz Faisal/Putra Eka Rhoma - R16 will probably be the best result for Hafiz/Putra after their upset win yesterday.

Andrei Adistia/Christopher Rusdianto vs Yohanes Rendy Sugiarto/Afiat Yuris Wirawan - if Rendy/Afiat lose to their juniors, it will spell the end for them.

Markis Kido/Alvent Yulianto Chandra [5] vs Patipat Chalardchalaem/Nipitphon Puangpuapech - Kido/Alvent to progress to at least SF.

Chooi Kah Ming/Ow Yao Han vs Markus Fernaldi Gideon/Agripinna Prima Rahmanto Putra [7] - a tough match for Markus/Agri but I think they should be able to progress.

Kok Zheng Yi/Kong Keat Zhen vs Muhd Ulinnuha/Ricky Karanda Suwardi [4] - Ricky/Ulin should graduate to the first team after the Munas in September. They have potential.

    WD R16
    Chien Yu Chin/Wu Ti Jung
[8] vs Gebby Ristiyani Imawan/Tiara Rosalia Nuraidah - the TPE pair to progresss.

Vivian Hoo Kah Mun/Woon Khe Wei [3] vs Keshya Nurvita Hanadia/Devi Tika Permatasari - ditto for the MAS pair.

Pia Zebadiah Bernadeth/Rizky Amelia Pradipta [6] vs Pacharakamol Arkornsakul/Jongkonphan Kittiharakul - Pia/Rizky have been performing reasonably since being paired together. They should reach at least QF.

Patchanut Krajangjit/Lam Narissapat vs Suci Rizky Andini/Della Destiara Haris [7] - a tricky tie for Suci/Della, especially against the rising star Lam Narissapat (who has won a GPG title with Saralee). Hopefully, the INA pair can fulfill their seeding.

    XD R16
Fran Kurniawan/Shendy Puspa Irawati [3] vs Patipat Chalardchalaem/Jongkonphan Kittiharakul - with the top 2 seeds gone, Fran/Shendy is the highest seed left in XD. They should grab this opportunity to win a GP title this week.

Riky Widianto/Richi Dili Puspita vs Tan Wee Kiong/Hoo Kah Mun - Riky/Richi is another pair who's on an upward trend and they should be kept together.

Putra Eka Rhoma/Rizky Amelia Pradipta vs Mohd Fairuzizuan Mohd Tazari/Keshya Nurvita Hanadia - the scratch pairing to progress to the QF.

Lin Yen Jui/Wu Ti Jung vs Markis Kido/Pia Zebadiah Bernadeth - Kido/Pia to progress.

Axe already waiting? Is it confirmed already?
Rendy deserves second chance, but Afiat...

MAS MS is left with arif, it will be very difficult for him to progress to the next round.

That happens in every single tournament, no matter IC, GP, GP Gold, SS or WC...
He remains to be the only Malaysian now who has a chance to grab SS title... everyone else are just not good enough!
Even GP Gold we only grab titles once in a while...
