I had a really bad fall when skiing last winter. It was my entire back all the way from shoulders down, hurts to walk and even sleep. Had an x-ray and was told nothing is wrong with my bones (thank god) but the physiotherapist said I had very limited motion in my back. But I never had time to go back for physio. Now my back is very stiff and hurts when i try to bend (both forward and backward) or twist from side to side. Really annoys me when I'm at the net and tries to take an overhead shot. Is there something I can do?
This could be serious. Ice ice ice. Rest rest rest. Get ahold of a compression wrap. I'm a roofer. I fell off a roof last summer. Messed up big time. Doctor told me to rest rest rest. My physiotherapist gave me this compression wrap from a company called king brand. I was back the next season. Wearing this wrap. Worked all season no problem. www.kingbrand.com/Back_Injury_Treatment.php?REF=Boris1011Good luck to you.
X-ray is useless as it doesn't reveal any soft tissue problem like MRI does. The problem is GP are generally not trained for such injury and will often send you home dying (speaking from experience). Problem starts from the neck or shoulder down can be serious and you should see another competence doc(s) asap, and you really have to fish them out. Don't wait it out cos it can turn chronic then your life will be miserable for decades to come. And please do yourself a favour and stop playing till fully healed. You won't be sorry as you have grown older. Good luck.
