What racket are you trying to string? I've done Braveswords (72 holes) with the Yonex 4-knot pattern instead of Victor's recommended 2-knot, and there weren't any problems.
Yeah, my Meteors are 4 knots as well, although it wasn't me who strung them. Shouldn't have any negative results.
I've been at this for four years, and I never knew Victor had different instructions. I've always strung them with a Yonex 2PTD and never had any problems. Also, many Victors have room for an extra cross at the bottom - if T7 is a big grommet, you can tie your mains there, use T8 for a cross, and tie the crosses at T6.
That's what i love about stringing Victor rackets because they have extra shared/cross grommets that you can add for frequent clients that hit off-center and break strings. =)
The Meteor series has room for one at the top as well (but it's a bugger to pull it straight if you use a thicker load spreader).
