Iwan asked this in a previous post but got no replies. So, has anyone broken an AT-700 yet. So far I haven't heard from anyone what their durability is like, except what we can glean from the recommended tensions being higher than other Yonex 4U racquets.
you didn't read my reply in Iwans post? I had one broken AT700 because of a heavy collision. I was standing on the left side of the court and my partner on the right side, the shuttle came through the middle so I had my forehand ready..... but my partner had his backhand in mind........... a collision was the result. His AT700 didn't have a scratch! But mine......... oh boy......... cracked at the 2 O'clock spot. happens when you don't play together to often.......
Interesting...So would you both say that despite the fact it snapped, the AT-700 is just as durable as an MP100 or MP99? I mean, were the collisions severe enough to snap almost any top end racquet? I decided not to buy an Armotec700 because it is only available in 4U in the UK. I was worried that it would be as fragile as the 4U MP88, which, I'm told, is the racquet most frequently returned as faulty to Yonex.
I know for sure that the collision I had would have broken any racket! The only strange thing is that the other AT700 didn't have a scratch! So the durability would be ok I guess.
