Yes he smashed like that all the time. Just that in final, he played really all out and Hendra sets the ball just good enough for him to smash. His smash angle is quite good too ..

Yeah... I counted that too.

Not only in that final, but also in other matches lately I saw Setiawan did a few service errors. I think he wanted to spin the shuttlecock maybe.

Just had a chance to watch match video of MD final...
Ahsan played really "buas" (he's practically everywhere in the court!) And while he's not raining smashes a la FHF or JJS, he compensated it by good placings which made KOR pair (especially Ko!

) found it really hard to return his smashes.
While Hendra's play on the net, his interception etc... It's like he's saying, "This is what will happen when I get serious!!!"

Oh, and Ko's playing really, really awkward also played a huge part on their defeat.

Ahsan's performance on final remind me of Halim Haryanto! He smashes with whole body. But with more agility and front court domination!

on that final MO, our group cheering support for the INA double... Ahsan smash so damn cruel, we called it 'no turning back' smash (warghh...) hope to see they meet TBH/KKK

yup ahsan wit ns9900 for sure. looked like hendra with his beloved arcs7 in new paint.

just watched the video on youtube, Ahsan was simply devastating both infront and behind....the Koreans has no answer to his smashes......has not seen such dominating performance from a player in the final......to sidetrack, it's interesting to note that he smashes differently from JJS and FHF....the head/neck muscle comes into play much more.
