Why is it that the forum threads are in order by their latest activity? It looks unfair. I think that the newest forum threads should be in the top of the list. They should be given chances to be answered too. It would be useless to talk about a single topic over and over again for years... This is my opinion. I am also kind of curious because this is the most popular badminton site I know but it only has few active members... More people should be converted to loving badminton!!!
Default is by last post. You could chose other criteria like replies/views, etc. Perhaps a created date could be implemented so that you could sort newly created posts.
