i'm surprised that he is yet to have his own thread... after defeating boonsak last week & made tago his latest victim today...i really feel that he deserve one he seems capable of giving us hope... he has the 'spark'
Since he beat Chen Jin on 2008, I wonder if he ever get a good-intense-program to be polished as next star? It's been 4 years. . .what happen?
I think the problem with most of the younger players in our country is inconsistency... sometimes good, many times not performing...
CHong already 25. I think its the physical demand of the game that hold them back. From what is see of Chong and DL they have the skill, technical ability and talent to be in the top 5 but they lacked 1. Mental strength 2. Physical toughness or strength 3. Match strategy or experience Today's game , your 100% must be the same as the top 5 and to be top you must be able to muster your 100% game from 1st round to the final rounds. What DL and Chong lacked is that they can play top 5 100% on 1st and 2nd round but only 50% on the 3rd round. that why they have not progressed. M'sian players have good skills and technical abilities but lack stamina or in common parlance "wind" in their muscles. Realistic target for the next 6 months is for them to be able to match these players by beating them regularly: Simon Santoso, Wang Zheng Ming, Sho Sazaki, Nguyen Tien Minh, Sony D Kuncoro, Taufik Hidayat, Hu Yun. Only if they can match these players in 6 or 12 months can they be considered potential to go for top 5 in 2014 when I think LIn Dan and Datuk no longer around and they would have to challenge CL Du Peng Yu and Kenichi tago for top spots.
everytime the DNA topic's been mention I keep thinking the guy who bring this on in the 1st place would have a very racist life if he's ever lived here
Back to da topic, congratulation to CWF for merging to QF in Japan Open 2012. He beat Ajay straight set tho. . . Love his attacking play
unfortunately he will have to play against DLCW tomorrow... Dato is definitely still too much for him I think
