i hope he is not like Daren Liew and Arif... They both did well in 2 or 3 tournament, everyone will think that they will be the next lee chong wei and suddenly, they just dissapear(lost in early rounds).
I hope CWF will be more consistent

I'm starting to see a pattern of consistency in Chong Wei Feng. You can almost tell that he puts in 100% into every game, except in his meetings with China players, where there seems to be some kind of inferiority complex and mental block. On a positive note, it's good to know he's climbed up to no. 26 spot in the world rankings... and the second best Malaysian singles player on paper.

CWF can do a bit better than Daren Liew, but he really need to takes down at least 1 GPG win this year... DL is as dissapointing as you can imagine, always fluck at 5/8... iirc, he only manage to get pass that once in his life in indonesia GPG a few years ago....

A close game taken to the rubber. CWF was clearly out of gas the last few points of the rubber game. He could have won if he had the fitness.

He made it to the QF, beating Hans-Kristian Vittinghus in straight games 21-13; 21-19
I only tuned in in the latter half of the 2nd game, I thought he was a smasher and aggressive player but he seems to play more rally-oriented than Daren, quite surprised with the change.

It is good that 2 players have stepped up their game. If Daren is the only one stepping up his game, he won't feel pressure from Chong Wei Feng, and the other way round applies too. Perhaps their achievements are motivating one another to buck up.
