Kate Upton (I hear she plays lawn badminton
in a bikini
).
My favorite is whomever is currently Badminton's Hottest (ie. beautiful) player on Sports Illustrated.
Badminton needs an Anna Kournikova type player.

My favourite players are now seniors - Han Jian (50-something) and Rudy Hartono (60-something) - but in their heydays, .... wow !! They made a lasting impression when I started playing badminton many moons ago ...

Mine has to be John Barrie from Scotland, because although he wasn't the best player in Scotland (he was no. 2 to Mac Henderson) he was absolutely a gem of a man.

Lee Chong Wei, partly because he is my countrymen, but mostly because of his fluid movement where minimal energy is used and every limb is in harmony. Something I'm trying to emulate as my movements are way too tense and energy wasting.

In Singles, my favorites are typically those who can use deception in matches quite successfully, and/or have graceful on-court movements.
Peter Gade, Bonsak Ponsana, Han Li, Tai Tzu Ying among contemporaries. Zhao Jian Hua, Morten Frost in legend class.
Mixed Doubles - Kim Dong Moon, Ra Kiu Min in the legend class. Sudket P/Saralee T (Thai) who demonstrate tremendous court sense/smart. See this clip, for example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eok4Y...26116&index=32
