As above, are there any ways or step to make string last longer. My friends always mention : your string + rainwater = faster breakdown/broken i wonder if it is true
Keep the racket away from cold - cold strings shrink/contract, and are more likely to break when hitting a shuttle.
i would not worry too much over temp since cycril lives in malaysia. fyi, water is bad for only natural gut string. since 99.8% of badminton strings now are synthetic, water on the string will not damage the string once it is dry.
First thing to do to increase the life-span and playablility of your strings - DON'T STENCIL THEM ... sorry to be such a spoilsport but if you look and feel the the strings where they have been stenciled, don't look that "healthy" after a few games ... as a result, I had cut-off all of my stenciled strings and restring. Now all of them are butt-naked BG80 !!
Oh ... drawing logos and images on the racquet string face like what you see on the pros racquet - you know the YY in red etc ...
In my case, all the painted joints were like "glued" together by the ink instead of just resting on each other !! As a result, they wear out faster, how and why, well, I am not sure of string dynamics but that is what happened.
No, just don't use the racquet. The string will never break. Guys, be serious. By using proper stencil ink, the difference in string life is about 98%. To stencil or not to stencil, it is up to you.
