I need to find out what kind of rope is commonly used in stretching nets across a gym. I've been to a local college gym where they play Badminton and they have three nets all on one rope strung across the whole gym and supported by to main volleyball poles and with smaller free standing badminton net support poles on either sides of the nets. Anyone know what kind of rope it might be? It's thin and streches. They also have hooks on either end, one just a normal hook and the other is a hook that allows you to wrap the rope around it and it holds it all by itself. Both hooks are tied to the rope at each end. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. And suggestions on places to buy them would help also! Respectfully, DemiSheep
We have a similar setup in East Lansing. I believe we use cotton rope (same stuff that braided hammocks are made out of, I think). It stretches a lot so you can adjust the tension if your setup allows for it.
Well I found the hooks, exactly as I've seen before, ran into them at lowes!! In the rope isle. Its called: CinchTite Rope Cinch Self Locking Tie Down http://orders.homaxproducts.com/Browse-Homax-Products/CinchTite-Rope-Cinch-Self-Locking-Tie-Down
