hello, im a beginner at badminton but I'm pretty good at it though since I'm also a tennis player. Anyways, im restringing my racket for the first time. any suggestions which tension to start/try at first or what the average tension? I'm a doubles player who does many drives and smashes. I have semi-power but I could definetly use a little more power in my smashes since theyre saved by the opponents half the time. I have a Yonex Isometric 500 and yeah guess thats it.

Get a good offensive string type like the Yonex BG 68-Ti or BG-85
and string it at 20 LBs. Tension any higher gives you more control but less power and also may damage your racket.Installing a good grip is also important.

Well for me when i started I found that 18lbs was quite well while anything higher seemed to give me weaker shots.
