Yonex towel (I sweat a lot

) direct onto wood with no overlaps (I like a loose grip when required for touch shots, can grip hard when required and produces a bit of extra 'snap' during smashes), electric tape cut in half to reduce width to secure.

How do you get it completely on the cone? Whenever I do it I can't get the tape to stay down.

It just looks ghetto, that's all... Can be easily remedied by stretching the tape to conform to the cone, which is how it's usually done. But hey, different strokes for different folks.

Ghetto? I like it how it is. TBH I think going all the way over the cone serves no purpose and looks rough. I like the bulge it makes just before the cone.

I think visor is pointing out that the tape doesn't seem to be holding the grip in place at all and is 'floating'

If you buy individual grips (I don't, I buy reels of towel grip), throw the supplied tape in the bin, in my experience it's rubbish. Use electrical tape, and stretch it as you apply it.

just my personal preference to have it taped on the cone completely to make it neater, but i'm stupidly picky about little things

Oh, okay thanks I always get the 3 packs of grip so I just use the tape that comes with it. So maybe that's why I always get my tape looking like that, not that it really affect performance at all.

from my experience, most of the tape that comes with the grips are pretty elastic. the only tape that's so stiff that it absolutely won't stretch is the ones that came with the ashaway ribbed grip. i had to heat it up a tiny bit to make it stretch at all

Look closer to the bottom of the grip. It's like Taufik's gripping style. The only difference is the material. LCW doesn't use towel grip.

oh man, don't get me started, i've detailed the interior of a friend's car just because if you run your fingers on his dash, it'll be full of dust, and dust is 70% human skin you know, and also i'm allergic to it too.......my horrible life!!!
