Hi, I was playing with Yonex Armortec 900 Technique for a year now. Unfortunately its been stolen from my car The new range racket from Yonex like Nano ray 700FX/RP, Nanospeed 9900, all they are too expensive in UK market. While choosing a new racket I thought its better to get some idea what other options are available in the same level? one of my friend from Asia suggested to go for victor BS 10, I can see some other options like Ashway Atomic 7 Hex frame or Ashway Viper XT 1000. Though can see some good reviews of Victor BS 10 but could not find any review of Ashway Atomic 7 Hex or Viper XT 1000. What do you guys recommend? I would wait for some good comments. If you want similar head heavy characteristics to your Armortec, but at a lower price point, why not include the Taiwan made Yonex Voltrics (VT3, 5, 7 and 9) on your shortlist? The VT7 and 9 are priced similarly to the Ashaways you mention.
I have tried Voltric 7 but no joy. So looking for something different. Any idea which one is better in Ashway Atomic 7 Hex or Viper XT 1000?

As always my best advice is to try and find someone who has one and try it - where are you from? The BS10 is a great racket but i have heard good things about the XT series from Ashaway. The spec of the BS10 is similar to that of the AT900T if memory serves me correctly but with maybe a little less head weight.
if you want head heavy, why not try ashaway repulsor series. Atomic Hex 7 is a new series compare to the viper.

IMHO, ... just to set the records straight, so we don't "blast" one brand over another ... cheaper = ok, you can compare that, quantifiable ... with Yonex (assuming ORIGINAL), you get what you pay for with a bit of premium (10-20% more) quality = that is subjective and down to the individual .... eg, I consider Yonex Cab20 to be the best racquet Yonex has ever made OR will ever make, hahahahaa tension = again up to the individual, just because a racquet can do 30lbs + does not necessarily mean it is a good or great racquet ... other factors include weight, swing speed, stiffness, durability etc ... even COLOUR/DECALS for some people ... So be fair ... Just like if a ROLLS ROYCE is expensive does not mean the ROLLS-ROYCE cars are lesser in quality compared to other "cheaper" cars like BMW ...
My current rackets are 2 Zforce, 2 MX london, Arc-10 and Atomic Hex 7. Well from my personal view the Hex 7 is the easiest to swing compare to the other but the flex is near to the MX london. It generate enough power for my smash but not as powerful as my Zforce
Why not try out brands like Carlton or Flypower? They are generally cheaper than the Yonex and Victors but IMHO equally on par in performance and aesthetic appeal You just need to look for specs that suit your style.....
@pohleong So which racket would you compare of carlton with yonex AT900t or NR700FX or NS9900? I just want to have different made, enough with yonex :-( haji
I have tried limited models from Carlton as it is hard to find them in SG. I do find that the Carlton Powerblade 9909 and 9902 are good alternatives to Yonex AT900P 4U/3U. Not so sure for AT900T. But Flypower Warrior 7 is as good as NS9900 and definitely a lot cheaper.... Flypower is a good brand if you can find it in the UK
The only Carlton that I had tried recently (my last Carlton was in 1970s) and quite like it was the Vapour Trail Elite .... cost a bomb (according to my friend who owns it) also !!
I think best alternative is still Victor rackets. Quality wise good. And if your budget is not an issue , you can try Li Ning N series rackets.
