Gosen Ryoga Ougi, BRG04

    New Ryoga racquet, Ryoga Ougi (available from Oct 2012) and seems like it is limited to 1,000 pcs. Stiff flex, M40 woven carbon, zylon composite, only in 3UG5, recommended tension 20-27 lbs. RRP is JPY27,300.

    Man, even at a 50% discount off RRP it's still relatively expensive... :p

    Does the gosen racket sell at shuttle-house are made in Japan?

    Gosen racquets are all made in China.

    No one is saying that Gosen is not a Japanese company. What is said here is that their racquets are made in China.

    Is it Head Heavy or Even-Balanced? I can't tell from the pic. What racket is the closest comparison?

    i'm still really really skeptical about chinese made products. i know they've came a long way, but still, all that news about china manufacturing cutting corners and whatnot...........

    I think most rackets are "made in China".

    Yup that true. I seen wilson, gosen and carlton racket with lable Made in China. Are the high end Gosen made in Japan or all of Gosen made in China?

    That is correct. Racket head is made in China, Ryoga series shaft is made in Japan and developed by Gosen, Seiko and Toray (world's largest carbon manufacturer), then it's shipped to China for assembling. All quality checks comply with Japanese standards.

    Not too sure about the other brands, but the paint work on the Gosen rackets reflects the high quality of their rackets. I think several stores in Australia currently sells them too (not this model yet though)

    It's ashame that their marketing isn't that great though.

    Here we only have low and mid range Gosen. No Ryoga series
