    Hi,

I just started playing again after 6 years (I played for 4 years before) and I'm looking for a new racket. I have a slightly attacking gamestyle and I'm a bit in doubt on what racket to buy. I have these rackets in mind:

    - Voltric 9
    - Voltric 60 (Is it worth paying 20 euro's more for the VT70?)
    - arc saber 5dx (Is it worth paying 20 euro's more for ARC8DX, ARCZ or ARC10?)

Does a head-heavy racket like VT have a large impact on your defense? I know it's mostly personal taste, but any advice or experiences with these rackets are welcome.
    Thanks in advance!

    M

What racket do you play with at the moment? I know it is tempting to buy a new racket but if you have a decent racket there is no need to buy a new one.

Atm I play with my 9 year old Carlton airblade 500, but it's in need for replacement :)

5DX or VT70 might be something for you out of those listed ...

What kind of racket is the Airblade 500? (Head heavy, 4u etc.)

What don't you like about it and what is your favourite aspect of it?

Try Voltric 7, maybe just nice for you - nearly an all-rounder (slight head heavy) - easier to use than VT5 or VT9

Since I just started playing again for 2 weeks, I can't really compare with other people, I have no idea what they're playing with. I think I'll just had for a shop, get a feel on the rackets there and try to make the best pick :)

For a start, try to get an even balance racket.

For budget get the Vt5. I simply feel that it not worth the extra $ and spec to go for Vt7

Errr ... it is not just the extra $ and specs, VT7 actually swings easier and faster (for me at least) than VT5 and VT9 and less head-heavy ....

I've bought an arcsaber 009DX, because I chose the arcsaber range above the voltric and wanted to try the "midrange" of arcsaber. Played my first game yesterday and I must say I got used to it pretty quickly. Still some work on the defense, but my smashes came through pretty wel.
Anyways, thx for all the reactions :)
