This is the one racket I am looking forward to testing. I'm not sure when that will be yet, but no doubt before the beginning of next season.

I think it would be pretty quiet after you have used it

Don't think it particularly louder than other racquets but I definitely get more power with it than others I've tried.

Why would one racket be louder than the other? It's all in the type of string you use and the force you use for the shot.

According to Yonex, some rackets are louder than others

That sound filter crap on the Voltric? My Vt-7 didn't sound any different from my Vt-80.

Though you could argue that a hollow structure with a certain volume would facilitate particular frequencies of sound better than others, making for louder or quieter sounds ...

A sound filter isn't going to help you hit the shuttle any better. And, I've never heard anyone say they felt under pressure by the sound from their opponents racket.

Can anyone compare the TK8000 with BS LYD with Yonex Voltric 70 please. Really love to know. Best if you have measurements of BP and stiffness as well!

I have finally had the time to test this racket. Hopefully I'll write my review this weekend and post on my website next week.

Can't wait for this, Paul !
Please help to compare with your beloved AT900P and VT80 too

Actually, I've just acquired a new TK8000, it's a 3U-G5 with BP measured at 302mm ( 2mm) which is pretty close to AT900P while on the court it feels easier to handle and faster. I played only 2 games on the previous session with this new TK8000 and I found my power is delivered very well in every single solid shots as this racket is very bouncy, not sure whether it was caused by the "Catapult" shaft or the string instead. Mine was freshly strung with BG66 @24 lbs.
As my elbow felt a lot better, I was able to shoot some smashes with 70-80% effort resulting decent speed and steep angle. Probably less "boomy" compared if I play with my shot gun N90 1st gen but they were quite effective and surpassed my expectation.
I was a bit struggling to control more delicate shots but this is fairly normal and expected result of bouncy rackets. Will spend a few more games with this new weapon to see how it really shines

    Any news with this review?

Looking for a replacement on my mx80, cant decide between Brs lyd or thruster. Will have to test them myself when I get the opportunity.
