    Default Tennis shoes for badminton

My shoes are whacked so I need some new ones, seems to be lots more choice in the tennis range. Any big difference between tennis and badminton shoes.

I'm thinking Nike Courtballistec 4.3 or Babolat Vpro all court at the mo (swaying towards this one as its not such high priced)

    Any thoughts.

    IMHO

Tennis shoes provide better support and more durable outsoles, Nevertheless, it is also heavier and less cushioning, comparing to badminton shoes.

    IMO,
Court Ballistec 4.3 might be too heavy for badminton games.
Zoom Vapor 9 has a medium arch support to the foot.
I have no experience with Babolat, thus cant provide you with any advice.

Better for you to opt for Lunar Vapor 8. The reasoning is the fact that it is a light-weight shoes, more than sufficient supports/protections, and has a low arch support to the foot.

Stay with the badminton shoes and keep away from tennis shoes on a badminton court. Shoes are the most important piece of equipment.

I don't think tennis shoes are good for badminton because the movement patterns are totally different. You better take any indoor sports shoe (Asics has good ones for example) before considering a tennis shoe.

Generally, with tennis shoes, your feets are higher off the ground which is no good for badminton games.
Badminton shoes are designed for the feets close to the ground and still have enough cushioning.
Tennis shoes thread/sole is also less gummy/tacky.

Yes. They are quite heavy compare to badminton shoes and your feet are highet off the ground.

When I first got back into badminton...I bought a Nike indoor court shoes. It was OK at the time. But ever since I bought my Yonex SHB 102 shoes...I'm like a half-step quicker. It was that much of a difference (to me at least).

So listen to the posters above...get badminton shoes.
