Victor VS-850 String Slip @ High Tension
Does anyone have a solution to make sure your tie off knots don't slip when stringing at high tensions (+26lbs) with Victor VS-850? I have had no issues when using VS-800... but with the 850, I would release the clamps after a tie off and notice a slight slip which (for example) makes the last main lose a pound or two...
I'm most concerned about what knot you guys are using... what's the secret?! It's such a slippery string! Thanks all.

I think though tension loss during knot tie-up can be well mitigated/reduced, it can't be completely eliminated. Kwun has a very nice video on reducing tension loss during the knot tie-off. Definitely worth having a look.
Link is here.

Sorry I should have worded it better. Totally understand where you're coming from zombie0517: there's no way to completely eliminate tension loss. It's the knot itself that I see slipping when I string at a high tension that I want to eliminate...
Regardless, I'll try the new knot from the video you recommended... thanks for your help! Will get back to you if it still occurs.

Try a Parnell knot - it held my VS850 at 32, no problem.

I just tried Kwun's knot on a racquet and the Parnell on another... both are great. I like Kwun's knot a bit better so I'll use that one from now on. Thanks for the help all.
