Hi guys, Just curious, when your string snaps normally we'll get a scissors to cut....but where to start first - which part of the string bed ?
If a main snaps, cut the middle cross first, and vice versa. Never do all the mains then all the crosses, or vice versa. Start from the middle and work your way out.
just be quick about it, cut a coiple mains n crosses n just ccut cut cut so the tension is released all over the frame
One of my teammates broke a string at ysterday's tournament... and proceeded to saw through all the crosses without doing any mains. My heart was in my mouth...
I broke my first string in training friday, I knew you had to cut the remaining ones so I cut them all. Is that bad?
No, you did the right thing That is what you must DO ASAP !! Alternate between mains and crosses when cutting to release tension as evenly as possible, starting from centre and work your way outwards ... just like what Mark A said below ...
I get you thanks. Not such a problem on my apacs thing but Im picking up 2 ARC 8DX's later so will be more careful.
1 of the badminton shop owner in JB told me to cut diagonally instead...from abt 4-5 o'clock position up till 10-11 o'clock position
I wouldn't - it puts all the stress on one corner of the racket at the start. We don't string rackets that way.
