Seems like the OP needs to move his base up 1-2 ft and improve net play.

add reading his opponent to the list and adjusting style / tactics accordingly.

It shouldn't take 21 points to figure someone out given the claim that he's IHO one of the better players in the club.

isnt Lee chong wei also good at his drop shots and good foot work..

In the end , why did Lin dan able to beat him...

Yes, playing like Lin Dan is also an excellent strategy , everyone should switch to left hand... it's the key to winning :P

actually according to some Chinese provincial coaches' way of thinking, given two players of IDENTICAL skill level / talent / physical attributes, they'll pick the left hander over the right hander almost 90% of the time.

disclaimer: read this on a blog, so not sure how much truth there is to it

Against such players I win with good net play, after i do a good net shot i prepare like Lin Dan to net kill the return and i am ready for smashing a weak lift.
Net play, you can actually practice it alone at home. Just attach a stripe at ( Net high 1,55 m) at the wall and try to play the shuttle against the wall so that it always drops slightly above the stripe in downward direction.
