I think u go watch the clip between Lin dan and lee chong wei.
isnt Lee chong wei also good at his drop shots and good foot work..
In the end , why did Lin dan able to beat him...

actually according to some Chinese provincial coaches' way of thinking, given two players of IDENTICAL skill level / talent / physical attributes, they'll pick the left hander over the right hander almost 90% of the time.
disclaimer: read this on a blog, so not sure how much truth there is to it

Against such players I win with good net play, after i do a good net shot i prepare like Lin Dan to net kill the return and i am ready for smashing a weak lift.
Net play, you can actually practice it alone at home. Just attach a stripe at ( Net high 1,55 m) at the wall and try to play the shuttle against the wall so that it always drops slightly above the stripe in downward direction.
