PV Sindhu coming back from injury. Lets hope she beats Hirose and plays against Yihan Wang. Should be interesting.

A 2nd round match between VA or Varma for CL looks interesting.

Yup, looking forward to this encounter : Yihan v Sindhu as the latter didn't face the reigning World Champion in China Masters last September.

Can/will Yihan Wang play? She apparently was injured in French Open about 1 week ago.

Sindhu is the only indian in the fray. Very sad. Saina is not participating.. She wanted to take rest due to knee injury. She will come back to HongKong Open 2012

Very tough draw the lone indian Sindhu women's singles category. She have to face all the top ranked players.. First Hirose, if she clears she has to meet yihan. No idea, whether she participate.. With the advantage of her knee problem, if sindhu clears that hurdle also, she has to meet juliane schenk, who is in great form. This 17 year old youngster could not face such a soldier who marches past almost everybody..

Saina has withdrawn for tournament. She is again hit by the injury which plagued her before Danish open. Indian media has reported about it.
I am not sure if Sindhu is feeling 100% OK or not. She should not rush herself in.

I'd like to see how 18-yr-old Sun Yu will fare in WS, she is playing in the qualifiers.

I'm hoping for a breakthrough from:

    MS: Wang Zhengming
    WS: Wang Lin
    MD: Chai Biao/Zhang Nan

Also looking forward to seeing Yu Yang and Wang Xiaoli back in action.

On the other side of the draw where yihan is there, she have the chance to reach final.
If sindhu continues her excellence and if she have had trained hard , she may topple yihan. But thats not for sure. But it will be a treat to watch. Lets see how it goes.

Great to see WYH back on court. Seems like the injury wasn't that bad. It'll be an interesting ride to the finals. First EH or PVS, then probably JS.

Current World Junior champion, Kento Momota will still have to qualify to get into the main competition. His compatriot Kenichi Tago will probably face Chen Long in the QF, could be a close one. On the other side of the draw Chen Jin will hopefully get out of current slump, his first match versus Sugiarto SHOULD not be that hard for him but Yun Hu might, and if beats him he will probably face in-form Jan O or very-in-form Darren Liew.

And the 3 korean top pairs are in it, with LYD and KSH also having to qualify... If Cai Yun's shoulder is still troubling him we might see at least 2 Korean Pairs in the Semi-final.
Too bad Kim/Kim is probably facing LYD and KSH in the 2nd round...

WSX will probably make it to at least QF but there she might have trouble considering her and her opponents form, facing either Minatsu Mitani or Sung Ji Hyun.

This looks like it will be a very good tournament despite no LCW and LD after all.
