    Thumbs up spotlighting set up

would spot lights be the ultimate set up for badminton tourneys? I was thinking only the court could be illuminated, and everything outside the court is pitch black. Would that give the perfect contrast?

    here's an example:

That's nothing new. Some tournaments already use it (German GPG e.g.).

So let me get this right, you want to light up the player only as he runs around the court but not the bird or the court?! :headshake:

If I were the spot light operator and had money on the game, you'd be sure that I'll aim right into the opponent's face when it's his turn to hit...
