Does anyone have any experience with these strings? They felt pretty good but the strings broke within a few hours of play. Restrung it again but it didn't last much longer. They were only strung at about 22lbs. And both times the strings snapped in the centre.

    Any ideas?

If I am not mistaken, I've been using this for quite a while on several rackets. The string comes in silver gray color, with a nice little platic box. Also, Wong Chong Han's pic / sticker included.

According to my experience, it's not a bad choice consider the relatively cheaper price compare to yonex string. Most of mine could hold on about 30 - 50 hrs of playing time. Most time, I cut it (sell racket) rather than it snaps.

Overall, it's more powerful rather than control, and feel different than yonex Ti strings (tried BG68Ti, BG65Ti). The major draw back for me, is the tension tend to lose a little bit faster than average.

that string is only $1 CDN cheaper than bg88ti. ($27 vs $28 at lees.) So it does cost much more than most yonex strings. How would it compare to 88ti?

I can get it at USD$3.5 from www.hiquasports.com

Guess it really depend on "demand". Even in BBESports, B505Ti is listed to be more expensive than many high end yonex strings (85, 68Ti, etc). HiQua sports is the only place I can find Gosen strings (in general) to be way cheaper than others.

I have these strings. They're nice for feather shuttles but since they're only 0.68mm, if you hack then these are not the best strings for you. Very nice string, but not as nice as the Bio Roots stuff that Gosen has.

And I don't believe there is a Titanium version. It's just Roots Original B505. I wouldn't really use Lee's as a point of reference since all of the prices are inflated there. :)

    Hmmm...

The name for B505TI is printed to be "Roots Titan B505Ti" on the package. Pic could be seen @ http://www.hiquasports.com/badminton/gs-b505ti-string.htm

The package is very nice, and the performance of the string is not bad compare to it's fairly cheap price. Since HiQua Sports is a fairly reputable dealer, I really don't think they will carry any FAKE Gosen strings.

Ah, I guess we don't have them here in Canada yet. Maybe I'll try to pick up a few of those when they become available. The packaging is nice... and they hold floppy disks very nicely. :)

More expensive at Yo's. (about $3 more)
And last i checked, no other stores in toronto carry higher end strings. Brown's doesn't go pass bg80 and they don't even always have stock of that.

wow $2.8 a roll for 25 roll purchase... nice!
Looks like it'll be $15 cheaper to buy the strings elsewhere and getting it strung there.

I bought these to try as an alternative to bg68ti at about half the price. I was kinda surprised that they snapped so quickly. Maybe it was just a fluke. Don't know if I should get some more and give them another try. Since I string my rackets myself, it's really just the cost of the strings. However it would be quite annoying if they keep breaking. I don't mind if they'll last at least a month but I certainily don't want to be restringing every week. Bg68ti is quite durable and I have yet to break one.

Personally, I think 505Ti lasts a bit longer than BG85. However, once it starts to lose tension, the string becomes dead. The price for 505ti is a big bouns, here in US, retail price for 505Ti is around US$4, but BG85 is around 10. ;)

yea i saw it from hiqua sports, tempting to order some.
Maybe it's a good idea to string it a pound or two over the desired tension?

That might be a solution. If u use a consistant pulling machine, it will be better. ;)
