Yesterday, some seeded players/pairs succumbed to their opponents such as Du Pengyu (4th seed), Sho Sasaki (6th), Jan O Jorgensen (7th), Hashimoto/Hirata (6th), Sudket/Saralee (6th). Let's see whether there'll be more upset today or not ;)

need also to mention, Sung Hyun Ji in WS department.
Fran/Shendy were also seeded as well.

Some interesting matches to follow today

    MS
Sony DK vs Wang Zhengming - after marathon match yesterday, I hope Sony left his tank for this match. Ditto for Sony
Wei Feng Chong vs Vittinghus - battle between 3rd DEN vs 3rd MAS. Chong Wei has promising improvement nowadays, while Vittinghus should not be easy meat
Daren Liew vs Gao Huan - I'm afraid that home player will prevail
Hu Yun vs Chen Jin - Ditto for HKG veteran

    WS
Busanan vs Li Xuerui - will it be another early exit for Olympic gold medalist?
Schenk vs Wang Lin - most BC'ers should support ex-WC champion, but my feeling is that "Soldier" will go through
Tine Baun vs Chen Xiao Jia - Chen has a home advantage, but want to see Tine deliver a title or at least reach final before she retires
Mitani Minatsu vs Sapsiree - battle between promising youngster. If I am not wrong, Thailand player won in their last meeting

    Wang Yihan vs Eriko.

The last match that WYH played in Denmark where she retired injured to Saina while trailing 12-21, 7-12, anyone knows what was the injury?

This match against Eriko, another runner and retriever (and never say die spirit), will be tough for WYH if she still has not fully recovered.

Well, after R-32, only 1 Singapore pair remains:
    Shinta/Yao Lei vs Maeda/Suetsuna

This SG pair overcame Shu Cheng/Luo Yu yesterday despite getting a trashing in their last meeting in French Open 12-21, 8-21. Well done.

Now, can they overcome this Japanese pair whom they lost so closely in their last meeting on home ground (Singapore Open) 19-21, 21-17, 25-27.

Good Luck girls (I meant Singapore Girls) :)

    MS R16
Wang Zhengming vs Sony Dwi Kuncoro - I hope Sony can continue his good performance yesterday and beat another CHN player.

    MD R16
    Chai Biao/Zhang Nan
vs Markis Kido/Alvent Yulianto Chandra - the last time they met, Chai/Zhang won in straight-sets.

    XD R16
Kim Ki Jung/Kim So Young vs Tontowi Ahmad/Liliyana Natsir [3] - INA's hope is left with Towi/Butet. I expect them to progress to at least the Final.

Riky Widianto/Richi Dili Puspita vs Pranaav Jerry Chopra/Sikky Reddy N. - a QF finish will be a tremendous achievement for the young INA pair.

The out of retirement player is on court. I think it's safer to do it in her own home country.
