Premier SS is compulsory attendance for top 10 ranking players/pairs. If not competing, must at least attend 'promotional activities'. i.e. show face at the stadium for whatever promotional thing. Fine is USD5,000 for non attendance

Lin Dan's autograph signing event for his book is his personal affair,nothing to do with BWF promotional activities which he is required to do at the tournament venue to avoid paying the fines.
