Friend, you always have such good stuff to read, many thanks.
It's part of LYB's long-term plan to have Zhang Nan continue to partner Zhao Yunlei half the time more to ensure a reliable XD for team events, such as Sudirman Cup,and the rest of the time for Zhang Nan to pair up with another young female player to work towards Rio OG'16. He didn't say why but I suspect Zhao YL may be slowing down (marriage or politics? no idea, just speculating).
So it's true Xu Chen was really sick.He was down with fever two days ago and admitted to hospital for drips the last two days, shuttling between the hospital and tournament hall. The coaches and team doctor wanted him to withdraw from the CHN Open but he insisted on playing and even won the title today. For his admirable fighting spirit ,LYB held him up as an example worth emulating.

worth-emulating indeed for Xu Chen... that's remarkable.. though he wasn't in an unstable condition he still can produce such thunderous smashes...
but when zhang/zhao will be separated? is it in this near future?

I guess for Xu Chen's case which is gastritis, it can be controlled by medication and the fact that he was playing doubles with a partner to share the workload, it may be bearable and worth a go. At most give up if it becomes too much to bear. But not for physical discomfort or injury that hampers movement, as in the case of WYH whose heavily-bandaged knee may also pose a sort of psychological handicap,eg when she had to run the full diagonal to retrieve a drop shot.
