What do you guys think about the quality of Yonex bags?

I bought a new one and only managed to use it for less than 10 times in about two months. Just got a new one recently (different model and design from the 1st one) and I think it won't last me much longer either. If this one gone too, I swear I will never buy another Yonex bag.

When I compared side by side with other brands such as Wilson and Babolat, the quality of Yonex bag is way far inferior. Other than weight advantage, the materials used inside and outside Yonex bag are of low quality and durability.

I even spotted a torn compartment of a Yonex bag in one of a shop recently.

Of course Yonex bags are generally cheaper but if I were to keep on buying and replacing spoilt Yonex bag, they can be indeed very expansive.

i think it depends. i have gotten some nice ones. but also gotta really bad ones.

a Yonex bag i bought from Europe, it was so flimsy the zipper splitted.

but a couple of bags i got from HK, the quality is very good. the ones from US is also very good.

A friend purchased two of the pro series bags and was very dissapionted at the quality, he phoned the guy in charge and took the bags to him where he admited that neither he or anyone else had checked the suppliers and had just left them to make the bags without double checking on the quality control.

Aparently bits were missing and the general look and quality was CHEAP. Even though the bags retail at higher prices than other manufacturers equivalents.

That's weird because Yonex bags in the UK are very expensive but are top quality. I still use a team bag I bought in 1987. I've used it not only for badminton but for travelling abroad and it is really beaten up, but all the zippers and handles are fine and because it's black, it still looks okay. It does have one of those non-sensical slogans on the side in small writing under the YONEX mark though.

I've got a new one I bought last year, and a 6 racket thermal bag I bought this year and they still seem okay to me. I've always found the quality to be very high.

My yonex bag seems very sturdy and it was very cheap compared to most sports bags here. $38 cdn compared to $80. My friends have bags from HK and they seem well made too. I've had mine for almost 2 years now.

    possible fake bags as well?

My wife recently retired her Yonex bag after almost 8 years of use. The outside and zippers are still fine, but the inside insulation is deteriorating.

One of our friends who visited Japan helped us buy a new one for little badrad. The finish and quality is very good, and looks quite rugged. The zippers flaps are also molded with plastic tabs, even going so far as to have individual markings "Shoes".

I got mine for about RM 50 (US$13) and my impression of it is that the internal compartments looks as if it's easy to tear OFF, not tear by itself.

Apart from that the insulation is fine, the zippers works good (so far), never been stuck.

Been using it for 3 months. Mine is the three racquet type, I think.

Just a comment here from the sidelines but if there are so many copies of YY raquets don't you think there are cheap copies of YY bags? It is much more difficult to control the bags than a raquet and much harder to spot.

i agreed, bags and clothing are so easy to copy. Printing, silkscreen and sewing are china's specialty.

Yeah i do agree.. you will never know , you might be using one "fake" Yonex Badminton Bag.. bags in china are so darn cheap. If you get from a yonex shop it might cost you US$ 60 for a bag.. but if you go to China...it will cost you only US$5.

but they can sense that you are not native chinese so they will tell you an on sale price of 50 usd.;) When they say it is cheap, they really meant the bag:p
