They are ranked 13th in the SS rankings.

It would be extremely funny and embarassing at the same time when the biggest Super Series finale event is held in China when Lin Dan, Cai Yun and Fu Haifeng will not be playing because they lack ranking points. LMAO!
That's the problem. By limiting to only the top 8 instead of say top 16, the SSF is out of sync with the BWF-ranked top players. What's SSF without at least all the BWF top 5 players contesting.

There's an outside chance of Porntip overtaking Intanon, we'll know when the final list is published.

Wang Xiaoli and Yuyang managed to sneak into the top 8 after last week's win. We will see familiar Chinese faces in WS, WD and XD although there's doubt whether Wang Yihan can play. If she doesn't play, is China willing to replace her with Wang Shixian?

China to their disappointment has already lost Lin Dan because his Super Series ranking is too low.

Chen Long and Du Peng Yu will be the final Chinese representatives to the delight of Lee Chong Wei. For everyone's information, no matter how successful and dominant Lee Chong Wei is, he is never able to win a single title of any sort in China due to many reasons.

Men's doubles on the other hand is a hilarious scenario. Imagine Cai Yun/Fu Haifeng just missed a place in the Super Series Finals even though they win tomorrow, China will have none other than Hong Wei/Shen Ye to represent China in MD which is a biggest joke in the fray.
One more query.. If you know, please let me know how many points a player gets when he or she won a round in a particular tournament(superseries). Just asked.

Scorpion, calculations can be made. HK is just one tournament left.
The one on http://bwfbadminton.org/page.aspx?id=14956 is after China Open, officially we will know next Thursday, but unofficially, some BC members like to do the calculations, they cant wait to know.

It's not that hard actually, during end of OG qualifications in April 2012, more exciting, so many tables and calculations. IF proceed to such & such a stage can qualify for OG or not,etc .

I strongly feel the SSF should be revamped to include all the top 16 OSIM SuperSeries Standing players divided into four groups of four each to play round-robin and the top two finishers in each group to advance to the QF knockout stage.

Ya lah, you just join BC not long. OG qualifying time, March, April, was most exciting, all sorts of tables, I would say AlanY's one very comprehensive. Everyone excited & anxious abt their fav players, can get in, not get in, how many pts must get in this tournament, sweat2.
