    Hi guys

I have been playing badminton on and off casually for the past 20 years or so.

When I was around 10 I was gifted a yonex carbonex 9 silver which I still currently use today I really love this racket.

Has racket technology moved on would I better off to purchase a newer racket to up my game?

If so what rackets would suit me in this situation head heavy.

I have tried the Li Ning N90 II however I felt it was a bit too light for me I didn't get along too well with it.

    Thanks in advance

i played wit aluminium frame cab9for decades before i started with other brands 'modern' racket like dunlop, rsl and yangyang. now i went back to yonex and some victors.

my current top of list racket is 2u ns9900. once a while i still whip out the cab9(i still have one), it definately still feel good and can be used for competitive games. The only downside, it feel 'vibrates' much more than the modern rackets.

from personal experience (and I still have my cab 9 with me as i type this); the racket that I seamlessly transitioned into were the Ti10 and VT80 that belonged to a friend of mine who let me try out his stuff when I got back into badminton in Aug.

FWIW, I didn't mind the NS9900 either having tried a 3U version 2 weeks ago. The only yonex i tried after the 9 that I didn't like was the arc7; everything else I didn't really find I had a hard time getting used to.

But, when I reach into the bag now, I always look for my Panda first :D
