hmm... in my country, most of the stringer do that... they say it gives more power... but i dont know for sure

It's seem ori for me. Also i know Adison Sport owner, they have good stringer. They keep update for stringing method information. Missing Cross ? Don't have any relation with more power. Mostly "SUGESTI" in Indonesia languange.

Depend on you want to use or not. Asking Adison guys to string "Around the World" when you do stringing again. You will feel it, if you want or not.
