Hi, I am looking to purchase a training racket around 120g-140g that I can play at rec. game where my fellow players don't look at me funny or thinking that I am disrespecting them...Apacs W140, StrengthPro SP140, and Training Pro are what I can get. The Apacs W140 is selling on Ebay for around $40.00 US. is very good price though not sure it's any good...any suggestion is very welcome. thanks:)
BTW. I am using a Squash racket at 145 g as my training racket!

If you have used 145g Squash racket as your training racket, you should purchase somewhat similar in weight with your current, don't buy anything lighter unless you feel exceptionally uncomfortable with it.

have you try them? I read a post that said the Apacs has added weight to the handle to make it heavier.

is it really works? when u train with a racket & play with another racket, your wrist react differently like difference shaft stiffness... that's why regular player keep 2 or 3 same rackets rather than own 10 difference rackets... they need the similar feeling when exchange rackets at any times

    Licin is correct :D

I am using WE120 currently for practices.

It helps for developing your muscles, and also for training your wrist.

Nevertheless, it shall always subject to your personal requirement.

If you have smaller arm (like me) then you could opt for 120gr

On the other hand, if you have bigger arm (like Licin), then better for you to opt for 140gr ++

    IMHO :D

For competition wise, yes, you have to play with same racket with same string, strung by same stringer at roughly the same time, etc so that you will need 0 adjustment on court in case your string break. However, for training wise especially training your power, training racket will be quite helpful. Try it. I have tried using it and i just need to adjust slightly when i use a normal racket.

I always feel better after using my squash racket for the first 10 mins. then play with my AT700... after 1/2 a game, everything feels the same like I never used the squash racket...maybe I need to play longer with a heavier racket (15-20mins.)

I think it depends on the person. I usually play with different rackets for singels and doubles for an example and they all have different grip sizes and are different rackets. I've never had any problems adjusting to different grips or rackets... But maybe it's just me being weird :p

Hum! different rackets for single/double sounds good though I did not change my rackets when I played tournaments in both single/double in the same tournament, just did not want to adjust to different swing...just in case

Are you alternating several rackets in a competition or just recreational play ?
