In fact, VW, BMW, and MB have or already have vehicles that they want to bring to North America.

BMW Canada is looking at 2008 - 2009 to bring the 335 D to Canada.

That 282 hp at 4,000 rpm and 428 lb-ft at just 1,750 rpm are juicy numbers.

Passenger car diesel engine's torque drops off after 2,000 rpm or earlier. Is there a way to maintain torque all the way up to 4,000 rpm?

From all the articles I read, diesel fuel doesn't burn fast enough at higher rpm. Gasoline and air mixture in petro engines are thoroughly mixed and hence combust quite thorough even at rpm.

I really like COSTCO's tire department. It stores nitrogen to inflate passenger car tires. Nitrogen is a lot more stable than compressed air with or without moisture taken out.

I am not 100% sure but I think 4th gen diesel engine uses multi ports injection method to increase the torque at higher RPM. I thought AUDI has solve that issue withthe new R8 diesel. Another way to get around the RPM issue is to have more cylinders.

But even 3rd generation common-rail diesel has multi-hole (ports if you want to call them) per injector.

Maybe even high injector pressure is called for. 30,000 psi is not enough. How about 60,000 psi

and a plasma device/plug

Anyone knows which car(s) has pollen and airfilter for just air ventilation into the passenger compartment (no air con)?

almost all the new VW's have pollen filters for the passenger compartment. the only ones that don't are the City models.

My 2002 Honda Accord has one. I think all Honda after 2004 comes standard.

Yes, many Japanese diesel engines use it. Not gas engine. I forgot the reason for not using it for gas engine.
