Thanks guys and gals on the suggestions in the Engine Modification thread. Here, your opinion on upgrading brake system is highly appreciated.

    Specific Make: Toyota & Honda
    Specific Model: Corolla & Civic

Has anyone upgraded the brake system of the above mentioned make and models?

i havent tried those.. But it should be alright just for street use.

If you want to go auto-x, you might want to invest in either spoon, mugen, or endless products for your civic. But these are really expensive. I have a friend buy a spoon calipers and its about a grand. But super performance

    Chia,

    BTW, what's auto-x?

Do you have Spoon's website? Actually, I am looking for a rear brake upgrade as the current ones are drums. I am looking for rear disc rotors to complement the factory front rotors without brake imbalance and modulation problems.

In canada, this is what we have because there is an limited amount of tracks available. Basicly an auto-x is where pillons are placed in a empty parking lot, and cars take runs to see who is fastest. Its a test of driver skill, cars ablity to turn, etc. You can even go auto-xing with your moms car or whatever. Its good fun. Usually there is always a good turn out.

If you arent planning any serious racing, i wouldn't go with spoon. AEM brakes would be good. Make sure your front brakes are bigger than the rear. Maybe u can find a way to take your current front disk brakes, and place them on the back. And get AEM rotors and calipers for the front.

But http://www.spoonsports.us/ is the address for spoon
