What string is good for retaining tension
Can anyone recommend a decent 0.68 string that will keep its tension for 2 months or 20 sessions.
BG80P and NBG99 drop 2-3 lbs after a few sessions.
I already double pull and dont really wanna go to an ECP stringer just yet.

I am now looking into GOSEN strings at the moment and I read somewhere (but cannot find that post again
) that Gosen strings come with FACTORY PRE-STRETCHED ?
If this is confirmed then, THEORETICALLY, the rate of loss of tension will be greatly reduced with the Gosen strings.
Wish I can find that post again, it is in one of the threads in the String section and ask the poster to reconfirm this claim.

For tension retention, nothing beats Zymax. 62, 65, 67, 70. Your choice.

Zymax sounds interesting, do they do something similar to BG80?

The Zymax range does hold tension well but I personally don't like them. It's ok if you like thin strings as the 62 is quite good amongst the thin gauges, but I prefer thicker strings and the 67 and 70 really are awful in my opinion. Feels dead and uncommunicative. Plus they move around a lot too. The 65 is ok, but not as good as 62 for thin string feel.

Thanks. I have read in another Zymax thread and it seems that different forumers have different opinions on this "FEEL" factor.
I was trying to compare against Yonex BG65 (soft) BG66 (medium) & BG80 (hard) and looking for Zymax equivalent. I have used all 3 Yonex strings before, so I have a pretty good idea what they are like.

Thank you !
BINGO !! In that case, Zymax may have just HIT MY "SWEET-SPOT" for strings
. My preferred tension for my Cab20sp is 22x23 lbs, so to get that "soft/medium" feeling, I am prepared to give ZM65 a go. In Malaysia, ZM are actually as expensive as Yonex strings !!
But I am prepared to move away from Yonex due to the abundance of fake YY strings in the local market here and the ORIGINAL SP versions of strings are just too expensive and choices are limited. The YY string with the specs I prefered is the BG66Maxima - SOFT high-end version of BG66 (JP string) but Yonex Malaysia doesn't distribute them here ....
Currently, I am trying out GOSEN R4x100 and R4x200, they are pretty good too
