M/Q Report version 1 (updated 10th December 2012) : http://www.bwfbadminton.org/file_download.aspx?id=419547&tid=1 I decide to put the Entry List thread here in 2012 tournaments since the sub-forum of 2013 tournaments has not been created yet This season opening SS of 2013 is full of top names as expected
Surprised to see Baun's name. I had the impression that she was retiring at the end of this year? Shake-up by CHN in WD as well, breaking up their WR1 pair TQZYL. What's Lee/Ko doing at 4th seed in MD? I thought notional points are only used if your WR points are 0 (ie, it's your first tournament together as a pair)?
TQ/BaoYixin will win this tournament. Both of those players are real special, especially Bao. How come a lot of the 2nd tier Chinese players are missing? Are they just injured or is there a cap on the number of entries from a single nation?
looks like Goh V Shem partner back with Lim Khim Wah while Chan Peng Soon stock back with Ong Jian Guo... what their coach up to...?!
It doesn't guarantee INA will get any title though... SSP is always competitive... But wish of luck for INA squad... I'm cheering for them...
When will the suspened Korean girls come back? Was it a whole year? Why is YYS not playing (with SBS)? Nice to have KO/LEE on top bc the spectacular matches with them will now take part later in tournaments!! Interesting to see CHN WD splitted... Any thoughts on this? Is this just to get more experince with other partners as well or is this for the future (to "create" new (better) pairings)?
Thanks al lot!! Don´t know why look that rarely into Badzine as it is an amazing good online magazine
Chillin'! That's good that they are using notional points for seeding. It would have been silly to keep dragging newly formed top pairs through qualy just to meet other top pairs in first round. Good to see the Scots actually sending some folk across. Still see Blair is partnered with Cooper, so what's happening with Imogen Bankier then... anybody?
They applied their name for the tournament. But its not guaranteed they're back yet. They asked the Korea Badminton association to lift the ban on the players. If the ban is not lifted, they will have to withdraw from the tournament.
