For a smash master, you don't break too many strings, I break 4 strings a month easy.

3-4 weeks per string is good! I wish my strings would last that long.

Lol. I was using fake bg85 strings for just a little over 6 months of on and off play at 24x26 for my mp99. I'm a hard hitter as well and don't know how it lasted so long. Lol. Then it finally snapped one day.

I can officially say that it's horrible for me right now. I've popped about 6 strings on two different rackets (2 on my Ti7 and 4 on my AT800OF) over the course of two months. The previous year, I only restrung twice during my badminton season. One time when I just restrung my AT800OF with BG85s at 25lbs, they popped in less than half an hour. As for the rest of the time, I've been using BG 65s at 25lbs and they only last me on average of two weeks now. (Right about now, my strings just popped last tuesday and I haven't gotten to restring it yet, but it lasted me only two and a half weeks. I've popped about 4 BG 65s since the beginning of April). I immensely dislike using BG 70 PROs, but if it continues like this next year, I might be forced to do just that.

Ashaway MicroLegend XL. 10 months after it was strung, and it is still not broken. Moderate wear is showing on the sweets spot. The tough outer skin of the string remains unbreached. The string started life being recycled from a previous string job where I didn't like the tension. It instantly became the most powerful string I had after being strung at a rather arbitrary but low tension of somewhere between 16lb and 17lb. It lost favour a few months later as I went on to experiment with other tensions on different rackets. It finally returned to favour a few months ago when I completed all my tension experiments and racket mods. The string once again became the most powerful I have - powerful enough to prompt some experienced 28lb users to start questioning their own very strongly held beliefs about high tensions after seeing my power increased to match their's as my skill improved. My string isn't broke. But I do wonder when, or if, it will break. It will be a very bad day when it does break as I have no way of making an exact replacement since I don't know the precise tension to use.

Holy cow! 10 months?! In 10 months, I break 30-40 strings!

Lucky you, you save a lot on string.

Don't worry -- at 16 lbs, it will probably last forever Just don't break the racket and you'll be fine.

I am incapable of breaking my strings once the tension has dropped to about 21 lbs (I normally string at 24). They are far more likely to break in the first 2-3 weeks than afterwards.

Of course, I try to get them restrung after a few weeks anyway, because the tension loss is annoying.

I very rarely have tension loss. I guess that's the bright side.

I recently strung my yang yang nano sensation 100 with Gosen Pro-66 at 25Ibs. It snapped after 6 games play (less than a month).

AND I WAS SO HAPPY ABOUT IT.

My string finally broke. One of the central mains snapped inside the sweet spot from wear and tear. The string remained powerful until the bitter end. I didn't realise it was broken until my opponent pointed it out to me when I was serving for the next rally. At my current rate of usage, I expect the 1.2km of MLXL string I am hording to last for about a 100 years. The string has incredible value for money. I can say I am perfectly happy that the string is broken, and I don't know why. Hahaha.
