lazy to read the first few pages of post

but i believe that it is related to how often you play.
when training 4 times a week for 3 hours each training, my BG-68 Ti lasted only 1 to 1.5 month.
but now, i dont train as much, only 2 times a week for 2 hours each RECREATIONAL playing. and my BG-68 Ti is still smashing hard for 3months already. moreover, no fluffy fluffy at all
however, the similarity is that BG-68 Ti will start to "change sound" after around 3 weeks.
i tried an "ulu ulu" string with no labels on it 2 years ago (ok, not i tried, but i gave it to my coach and didnt ask for the type of string i wanted) which i suspect to be gosen string. believe it or not, it snapped during my SECOND hit (it was a full strength cross-court slice-smash) after i got my racket back from my coach. it burst on a little on the left (or right) side of the centre.
fortunately i didnt have to pay for the subsequent string

i did not vote before because all my life playing badminton before, my strings never broke but i guess that might have been due to the fact that i play a lot less frequently before. last week i broke my bg 66 string. it lasted more than six months but this is the first time i had to restring because of string breakage. i think the fact that i play three times a week contributes to it.

Since i always use NBG95,so i guess it'll last long!2/3 months maybe?
While i used BG66,26lbs,n it lasts around a month or 2.My BG85,25lbs is begun to worn out.So does my BG65ti,but a lil bit better.
My NBG95,28lbs,26/25lbs,26/24lbs still looks perfect,no sign of wearing. It really takes some time to break this string..really.Last edited by Smichz; 01-01-2008 at 07:02 AM.

hmmm....
bin breaking string more regularly atm
i use BG85s now which is probably the main problem,
but i break strings lik every 2 weeks, iv snapped 7 sets of string in the last 3 months. get them strung at 26pounds.
but i think the main problem is when i try to smash and i miss hit it....can feel it everytime!!damn annoying!!
ah well...

Nothing beats BG65 strung on Ti-3 at 23pds - which now enters its 3rd year of service without breaking
thank the Lord.

Frankly, I don't think the string will play well. After 3 years the string's elasticity is gone. Just imagine a 10m string that was stretched from 10m to 12m 3 years ago would now probably measure 11m if the string is let loose, a loss of 1m elasticity. BG65 is a notorious string that needs more frequent restringing, because it doesn't have the long-life elasticity of natural gut or the 3,000 to 5,000 filaments of longer-life strings.
