How odd Eddex. I also have a Ti-3 Bg-65 strung for around 3 years. The string has also never popped ever since I strung it for the first time after the stock one popped.

Usually the racket is just for girls to use. XD

    Lightbulb Depends though, kids...

Well, like I said it kind of depends on how long you play as well... If you play like once a year, and you voted for 2 years, that's like ...!!

But string-wise, I think BG66 is easier to break due to the thinness of the string gauge... Compared to BG85, I think BG85 still holds even though there are grooves from wear on the strings, usually in the middle. However, BG66 would break easier because there are not as many layers to hold the friction that the grooves have to resist.

    Am I right?

so ..im a girl now ...... lmao!

what kingkiller48 said is prolly right too cos it does depend how long you been playing with that racket - tbh, i only used the racket for practicing and not for proper games etc. so maybe

The string still played well imo, it just feels normal ...well it mightve lost a few pounds already but who knows, it still plays like a racket, more control, less power

I string all my rackets at 24lbs. I train 3-4 times a week. Coach twice a week. and play roster Div 1. And 9 tournaments a year. I re string once every 3-4 weeks. And always before a tournament.

Helps when you re string your own rackets!!

I broke a factory string on a cheap basic yonex racket after doing baseline strokes.
Thats the only string that I have broken I think.

My BG66 on my AT500 lasts about 3 weeks before I have to go restring again. (tension loose) Can't rotate my racket as I only have two rackets. AT150 for doubles and AT500 for singles. =)

i've broken the strings on a freshly strung racquet whilst warming up doing clears, less than 10 hits.

How wasteful.. I found a victor powerwaves racquet with broken strings yesterday in a rubbish bin.. how wasteful.. the user should have just got it restrung.. I just gave it to one of the staffs at the shop there just in case he/she wants to redeem it.

    Here's an off-topic question tho..
If I pick up racquets from the rubbish bin, does that mean I can have it, or is that considered as 'stealing' ?? :S

i reckon anything in the rubbish bin is fair game.
look at it this way, you're effectively recycling, which can only be good!

    was it a highend PW?
was it not worth restringing, or did the person just not know it could be restrung?
    maybe it's cursed!

I can tell you it is not your stringer's falut.
Because you smash a lot, play long hr, miss hit once a while. Should I keep going?

I swear, everybody breaks strings way faster than me. I hit hard often, slice plenty, and my strings last ~1 year (bg65). Everybody around me is breaking bg65 in around 3-6 months.

what tension is your 65's at though? after a year they would have decreased in tension quite a bit. do you play nylon or plastic as well?

They're at 24lbs. After a year, they feel the same as BG 80 strung a month ago on another racquet (also strung at 24lbs). I mostly play plastics, occassional feather (which sucks cause feathers feel a lot better)
