Spendork, I think the bottom 3 tie-off knots are in the wrong place. The mains side strings on both sides should come out from grommets #10, not #12, and then tie-off at grommets #8 either side, and not #7. The crosses tie-off should be at the bottom grommet #7, not #8. Changing to the correct pattern is better and will lose less tension over time.
The broken string appears to be from a mishit at the top. Mishits impose an uneven load on the strings, with one part of the strings (longer part) being able to take the load but with the shorter part being too short to take the load because it has no room to stretch.

I have not restrung any of my current racquets yet. My Cab 10MS has lasted with the same BG-65 string for just over a year now but they're starting to fray...
. Ive had my AT300 for just over a month now with BG-65 so I don't expect it to break soon.

My strings generally last around 3 weeks. Actually, I am trying the bg 85 and it's still here after a month, while the bg 80 I tried ( at the same tension ) lasted me 2 weeks
.

I use NBG98 at 25/27 lbs and it usually lasts about 2-3 weeks with roughly 6-7 hrs of play a week. I consider myself a pretty hard hitter ... so the strings start to fray after about 1.5 weeks. Once I see the strings fray I know the strings will break within a few hours. I think I spend about $450 a year on stringing.

i play full 1.5-2 hour/ session, tension only 25lbs, after the string snap, my racquet frame also snap on top 12 o'clock.
i feel the new pack of bg-66 has crap durability compare to the old one..

My BG9 survived for 3 weeks.
My BG68Ti survived only 2 weeks..
I had NBG95 for 4 weeks..
My BG 65 lasts like forever! never snaps! but just ends up cut by the scissors because of bad tension..
omg, i have to re-string like every week!
mind you that i play 5 days a week, all together is 12hrs a week..
& i also have to switch racquets to avoid snapping!
now i have to use BG65 or NBG95 to save some money, so poor now!
does anyone know whether tension has any connection with durability?
I have always thought that higher tension=less durability..
