Luckily fast broken string doesn't necessary translate into better player else I will be way below average as I can't seem to break my string even after 6 months

Getting back to my former play level of 20 years ago, slowly: after 3 weeks (3x week, 3 hours per) decided to put my MP 21 into reserve service and started using AT 250. Basically, love the AT all over. But, after a month smashed out the factory string job. Sooo.. restrung with BG 65 @ 23lbs and had a go last night. What happened to my beloved 250?!!! I lost 50% control, 25% power! I admit it wasn't my best night and will get a chance at redemption on Thurs. I have BG 80 coming soon... any opinions out there on the BG 80 and tension? I'm 80% technical but rely on power quite often too.

So, I'm getting back up to speed fairly quickly after 20 years +
and decided to put my outgrown MP 21 into reserve service after picking up an AT 250. Basically, love the 250 all over
. But after 4 weeks (3 x week, @ 100 minutes per) smashed out the factory string job. Restrung with BG 65 @ 23lbs. What happened to my lovely AT? Lost 50% control and 25% power! Admittedly, it was not my best night of doubles and will get a second opinion on Thurs. I have BG 80 coming... any thoughts out there on BG 80 and tensions? I've moved up three levels and am verging on advanced - play 75% technique but rely on power quite often.

BG80 is a nice sting but i think BG85 is better in terms of control and repulsion power.
Most people feel that BG80's repulsion power is excellent but when i tried both i tend to feel that BG85's repulsion is better than BG80.

NBG95 at 28lbs on AT700, lasted me about two months.. which was only about six sessions because I had exams and all that..
Planning to get it restrung with Micropower XL at 30lbs.

2-4 weeks
I play about 8 hours a week at a competitive level, my rackets are strung at 25x27.5 and I use BG80.
I'm a hardhitter aswell so my strings tend to break this often due to the large and repeted stress I put them through.

How long does the BG-65 Ti string last for a beginner?

My strings usually last me about a month. I use BG-80 at 25lbs. However, a month is not of consecutive use, I rotate between different rackets. If I were to only use one racket, then I would guess that my strings would last about 2-3 weeks.

My Babolat Challenger string (Factory strung) Is still good, 3 months now, on my babolat racket, but it is now only a spare. With my BG80 at 23lbs on my At700 its still going strong at a mind bobbling 1 week
