BC Gathering in Singapore during SG Open SS 2013

While I was in Malaysia last Sunday (16/12/12) for the BC KL Gathering to coincide with Kwun (BC founding member) visit to Asia, some of our BC members were asking casually about the possibility of having a gathering in Singapore (during Singapore Open SS in June 2013).

I am considering the possibility of hosting (organizing) this BC gathering.
I am not promising that this gathering will happen, but:-
Can I know how many BC members (not staying in Singapore) would likely attend this gathering?

This is the tentative proposal & Cost Estimate:-
1) Attend Singapore Open (QF, SF & Final @ Singapore Indoor Stadium) - Fri, Sat & Sun (ticket approx S$45 each. Usually it is cheaper to buy "Season" ticket).
2) Sat morning (8am-11am) Badminton Game - Estimate 36 players. Likely venue: Singapore Badminton Hall. 5 badm courts + shuttlecocks. (Approx: S$13 each).
3) Sat evening (730pm, after badm SF) - Dinner halal buffet (@Leisure Drome, beside Indoor Stadium) (Approx: S$15 each).

As for hotels, if you do not mind "backpackers hostel", I can look for one that is near "train station", cost estimate S$23 per bed per night (usually 6 to a room or even 10 to a room sharing).

Buy ticket on day itself (Fri + Sat + Sun) = S$30 +S$32 + S$34 = S$96 !!!

Just thought that there are some interesting places in Singapore that is worth visiting if you have the "extra" time.

For 2013, the date will be at 18 jun to 23 jun 2013.CMIW: the sponsor contract will end next year so lining will still be the sponsor at 2013.

I intend to go for the whole week & can you purchase the early bird tickets for me but I'm not joining the baddy sessions due to recurring injury. I'll confirm to you when the date approaching. Singapore has changed a lot since my last visit. Backpacker hostel sounds alright to me.

Jimmy, you really know how to turn people on... I mean by organizing events like this... Haha...

Jimmy, I think you should change to not residing in Singapore rather than not staying in Singapore. Kind of confusing, like if the person is staying in a hotel or not.
