UPDATE** though the specs and the engraving on the racquet say 4U, the racquet definitely feels like a 3U or even 2U. HEAVY! Not just the balance, but the whole racquet is heavy. Generates great power, but lacks in defense and is slow.

Is VT50 discontinued? Why is it not on the yonex JP website? Or is it not released?

I personally would not buy any light (5u-) yonex rackets as the flash boost clearly highlights why

Voltric 50 is a stiff, head heavy racket with good power in smashing and overhead shots. But i think/feel it lacks on response because of the plastic "sound filter" in 10, 2, 5 and 7 o clock position. This racket remind me at my test of Amortec 700 years ago ... i think the Voltric 50 is the perfect replacement for players who love their old Amortec 700.

Just out of curiosity, VT i-Force, VT60, VT50, VT30 --- are all either available in 4U or 5U only? I mean, would they all able to hold 30lbs string (without break during the stringing job)? Recently Yonex has been coming up with these new super lightweight rackets (ARC-FB included), but even their best 3U version are only recommended for 26Lbs.

My suspect for how Yonex market their product & boost up sales are asking customers to buy latest new lightweight as they claimed has been popular recently, break them by little bit of clashes or medium string tension (28-30Lbs), and buy another new ones! I recall how pros were using woods/steel rackets back in the 80s and barely broke any during the tournament. Even their strings were so much more durable than today's strings.
