I havent tested though, so just speaking hypothetically

With such a wide variation in angle, you'd expect a large variation in measurement right? Nope. I was only able to detect a 0.05g difference between the 2 extreme angles. So I'd say it's quite repeatable and consistent, and rather insensitive to minor variations in the racket angle.

Since you are trying to claim differences in mass down to 2 decimal points, calibration and drift are factors to account for.

Ahhhh, enough OT. Back to the regular programme.
I notice that you have 4U JJS also.
What are the specs again?
How does that compare with your APP?
JJS is stiffer so I'd think it's more accurate but more demanding. Whereas APP has reverse taper shaft which feels flexier, so more easy power but less accurate?
How about smash, defence, drive, etc?
Still trying to decide which one to pick up. Tks much!

Flex BP Wet Weight Head Weight Grip Overgrip String Tension Victor Legend II
Stiff 290 89/98.36 41.82 G5 RKEP G11 ZM62 24 Victor Thruster K8000
Mid-Stiff 297 89/98.32 43 G5 RKEP G11 ZM62 24 Adidas AdiPower Pro Stiff 290 86/95.76 40.61 G5 RKEP G09 ZM62 24 Victor Meteor X-JJS Stiff 297 84/93.31 40.57 G2 RKEP G09 ZM62 24 Babolat X-Feel Blast
X-Stiff 291 88/97.40 40.61 G4 RKEP G09 ZM62 24
The JJS is stiffer and definitely more demanding but very precise.
The APP is easier to use and power is more accessible continuously at a fast pace!
Both can produce great smashes. But I find that if you want precision to the sidelines, the JJS is the one you want.
They are both equal in drive and defence. But the APP has a little edge on manoeuvrability.
So saying all of that, the JJS to me is an excellent singles racket and the APP excels for both.
I find that for fast doubles game when I'm at the back hammering down smashes, rackets like the TK8k, Legend II and APP much better cause you can continuously smash and have great downward angles.
The JJS is pretty decent too but the angles become inconsistent when you're thundering down the 4th or 5th in a row.
The JJS is special to me cause I was 15-1 down in a singles game and ended up losing but managed to get the score up to 21-19 . Stopped using power and went for precision instead!
Tight drops and shots to the net are very accurate and not to mention it is a gorgeous looking racket.
The APP is special to me because it is so easy to use and highly manoeuvrable. In a blind test, I would not be able to tell the difference between the APP and my Legend II.

^ Dang it! I was afraid you'd say that.
Can't I have *both* power and precision without compromise? Yeah, I know, I'm greedy, I want to have it all.
Oh well... looks like I'll have to pick one up next wk... most likely the APP just to be different from my current batch of MX70/80 and XP60/70.

Just put some time in with the adipower tour, can't say I really like the racquet. No distinct features stood out.
Can't wait to try the APP.

I broke a second AdiZero Pro last week with the slightest touch of my partner's Bravesword 10(actually, also mine...could have been a very bad night)
Our opponents didn't even hear it happen.
So....I decided to try an AdiZero Tour since I think the more flexible shaft may suit me better. I will know tonight.
The head frame is definitely thicker all around than the head of the Pro and it has a bit of a Bravesword point to it.
But my main reason for posting is to say that the Adidas catalog list the racquet at 80+/-2g just like the Pro...
BUT...the markings in the shaft say 82+/-2g.
Weighing it dry on my scale read 83g, confirming the shaft markings. My last Pro was 80g.
The catalog was the one linked from early in this thread, so there may be an updated one.

Braveswords are renowned for killing other rackets. I think my 4 year old BS11 has killed about 3.
"Do not walk into a sword" I think is the phrase.

Weird. With me it's the other way around Had 3 Bs killed by Z-Slashs and one just lost the will to live, I guess...

Will be joining the Adidas community in a few hrs when I pick up an APP.
Dry wt 86.4g, bp 293mm
head wt 37.5g.
To be strung with ZM62 @23x24 lbs. Will update after play tonite.

Might want to string it tighter since it has a bigger head!

Keep us posted, I'd love to hear your review on the APP!

How is Adidas going where you guys are?
I'm yet to see any rackets on the courts here in Melbourne, Australia, but I've seen a fair few of the shoes.
