Re: contacts??????? Yes , as a matter of fact , i do wear contact lenses to play any sports including badminton .
Re: contacts??????? I do, but you have to take special care as your eyes may dry out in a long match. Whenever, you play it's alway good to bring some artificial tears to lubricate your eyes. I've been wearing contacts for 5 years and I can honestly say that it's better playing blind as oppose with glasses which irritate me even more. What band are you getting? Cibavision is what I use, I've tried Buash and Lombe, but those are slighly more expensive here.
Re: contacts??????? I wear disposable contacts when I play badminton or other sports, which are much better than glasses and easier to take care of than regular contacts lenses. Contacts give me clear all around vision, not just straight ahead; my glasses, small rectangular frames my girlfriend convinced me to buy, only cover about the center 50% of my vision, so it is too distracting having to worry about blurred peripheral vision when I wear glasses. Also, with contacts, I don't have to worry about the lenses getting dirty, steamed up or sweaty or about glasses falling down my nose.
Re: contacts??????? i have an opposite problem, in long rallies my eyes get watery ( natural reaction to high air speed on my eyes i guess). Recently i changed to weekly wear contacts and it seem the problem went away.
Re: contacts??????? what's ur degree??? mine's 500 shortsighted, over 200 astigmatism, i mean each eye.
Re: contacts??????? I'm nearly the same. I used to use glasses and had the same problems that Brett's mentioned but the real problem with using contacts was the astigmatism. Contacts that correct for astigmatism have become more affordable so I use these now.
Re: contacts??????? when my eyes get watery, the contact lens float around my pupil and i lose focus. My opponent dont believe my excuse anyway In canada, it is measure by meter, say, -5.0. Do you know if -5.0 equivalent to 500 degree ? I dropped my glasses decades ago for same reasons as your and brett.
Re: contacts??????? In Asia, people refer it as degrees which really is the same as dioptre without the decimal point. So -5.00 is 500 degrees. The majority are short sighted so I guess the minus sign got dropped. This is my theory anyway.
Re: contacts??????? you mean near sighted.. hehehe... short sighted in english is a characteristic used to describe people... and it's not very nice. And your theory is correct... as when I speak Cantonese with my elders, the ask how many degrees is my eyes, and at first I was like.. "wha???" then I clued in, and realized. my eyes aren't too bad, but I think I will want to get laser surgery, once my eyes settle down, and my vision stops degrading. Yeah, I find it interesting how many Asians here are near sighted. Oh.. here's a questions Cheung... did you see any pros at Japan open wearing glasses at all? I don't think there are many, if any at all.
Re: contacts??????? thanks for the confirmation. That's what i thought even though my parent keep using degree (gay dol doad). In canada, i think we spell it as 'diopter'.
Re: contacts??????? may, u have brought up a good topic Hey, how about yourself, do u wear glasses or contacts in school and at home?
