The only way to trouble LCW is to keep pace with him and stay as close as possible in the scoreline until he wavers.

He wouldnt retire end of 2013 if that's what you mean, sponsor obligations & obligation to country.
As for repeated failures, the heartbreaks already happened many times, when he was fitter & younger yes it could break him. Now, should be used to it & take it in stride, he's reached uncle age in badminton

Yeah, have to feel for LCW. He's suffered so much heartaches and disappointments, it doesn't really matter whether he wins the WC'13 or AG'14. But still I wish he takes either one or both before he retires, and he's capable of it before Chen Long becomes too strong for him and while Lin Dan is not back to his best yet. Wish him all the best. Make hay while the sun shines and strike while the iron's hot.

The 3 titles China could not win here, are the 3 categories (MS, WS, MD) that teir top ( or even top 2) players / pairs retired or not coming.... yet still have finalist in MS & WS, the rest of world really need to catch up!!!

I think LCW has better chances at this coming WC in August than next year's Asian Games; one year makes a lot of difference in badminton terms.

Still DuPY is to be congratulated for having set a very encouraging example worth emulating for the great majority of players not of the highest calibre as Lin Dan, Lee CW and Chen Long.

Somehow, I've a feeling we may see Wang Zengming in the final with LCW in next week's MAS Open but I don't expect him to win it.
