That's exactly why Lee Chong Wei will never win a major. After some Super series victories, fans keep putting extremely heavy burden and high expectation on him to deliver. In the end, what happens ?

He lost to Lin Dan twice in two years. Do not forget Malaysian badminton players have one of the weakest mental strength in handling expectations. When you expect them to win, they will lose in the major event.

It has already happened two years in a row. Malaysians and fans alike should start acting low key before it happens again in Guangzhou 2013. What's worse it is Chinese home soil and Lee Chong Wei has never won a career title in China mainland? There goes your chance.

Ups, the MD event in Malaysia was really boring this year. The final was the most boring match in a long time!
Well, ofc amazing netplay by HS/AG and the Koreans looked psychological and physical not fit today (after playing a few weeks in a row). Still not interesting to watch.

But congratulations to LCW for winning the title, and Sony for his achievements on his comeback.

More about speed, actually. Sony was unable to slow LCW down.

But several times when Sony did get to extend the rallies without putting himself in too much danger, he could find an opening. Problem was, LCW wasn't interested in rallying and kept putting the shuttle down at the earliest opportunity.

I actually enjoyed watching ZJH play badminton in his heyday.
He had many 'trick and deceptive' shots which won him points after points.
In style he was better than Yang Yang but lost out in the number of tournaments won as he tended to be not serious and was playful at times not unlike KKK. In other words, these two wanted to display their showmanship time after time.

It's like taichi on the badminton court. Back and forth, hard and soft.
Plus all the deception.
And she definitely looks bigger.
Must have worked hard in the gym.
All the better for even more power.

She has some amazing shots displaying both control and power. I love her front net shot that looks like a lift but ends up being poked over the net in a dinky shot. That one earned her many points. Then there's her down the line smash and her underhand get out of jail cross court clear from baseline to baseline! Whoa nelly! How'd she get so much power from such a small person.

A low centre of gravity and a stocky build, not unlike Jung Jae-sung. Saina is (was) the same but she's put on a lot of weight ("fat" was the word used by some TV commentators).
