Most interesting is "made in Japan" although it's not in the high-end range.

The colour scheme for 03 is very nice.... But horrible looking for the 05.

hmm...so strange, usually Japan does not produce mid range or low range rackets.

Past Made in Japan Yonex models I can think of around this range are MP44, MP45, Armortec Tour, Cab21 Special. Their prices are all slightly below Ti10 at least in this store as concern.
The VT9 is close in price to these models. These racquets lower prices could be attributed to that they are full graphite racquets which are similar to the Taiwan made racquets as compared to the High Modulus/Ultra High Modulus graphite for the Japan made racquets.
It seems like VT9 and these models are a bridge between the Taiwan made and Japan made models.

I saw these 2 rackets last week in one of the stores in Singapore and I even started a thread. The rackets look pretty interesting considering "made in Japan", slim shaft, and reasonable price. It will be very useful if Yonex can tell us more like how head heavy these rackets compared to other VTs. I think these 2 rackets will just kill off the interest of VT3, 5, and 9.

The previous 'Tour' series racquets, Armortec Tour and Nanospeed Tour are Made in Japan also but they were priced at that time around the Ti10 price. I think Yonex is just maintaining the "Tour' racquets as Japan-made but at a lower price.

So let's say: We generally can speak of "higher mid-end" rackets if they're releasing new rackets from the so called tour series?

It would also be interesting to see how they are pricing the new Voltric 50.
I recalled a couple of years back the Armortec 600 was priced slightly higher than the Ti-10 but definitely lower than the high-end AT900P and 900T. In fact, the specs of the AT600 and AT Tour were similar right up to even the design decals of the racquets except only the colours. The AT Tour was priced slightly less than the AT600.

bought a VT-3 Tour for myself last Saturday... Priced at RM210.
String with Nanogy 98 at 25lbs.
I don't know how to describe it well but my backhand does improves alittle bit. Smash still in adjusting timing progress...others I could just say it play well...
My previous racket was an old model with HeadLight balance...
